Exceptional over-sized stole measuring 1m x 2m in an intimate blend of natural wool-silk-cotton materials for an ultra-soft feel. The over-sized motif features two gigantic flowers framed, like a painting, by an elegant frieze. In two-tone, the blue-pencilled flowers bloom against a burgundy background in tone-on-tone plumetis. Small, colorful bangs embellish the bases, while a neat hem finishes the long sides. A shawl stole for an exceptional gift! 100% made in Lyon - France.
INSPIRATION

The ornamental plant motif of this large, luxurious stole was inspired by William Morris wallpapers, reinterpreted and lightened in the spirit of pencil engravings. The sober yet trendy color scheme of burgundy red and blue was chosen to highlight the richness of the pattern and material.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This oversized shawl stole can be worn as a scarf over a black, red, beige or brown coat in the coldest weather. It can also be worn as a large shawl over the shoulders for mid-season or cool summer evenings, over a dressy outfit or jacket and pants. This elegant stole will give you a chic, sophisticated look.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To wash a wool stole, we recommend hand washing. Don't leave your stole to soak for too long, wring it out in a tea towel without wringing it, and dry it flat. For ironing, use a hot iron with steam to restore the fullness and softness of the natural materials it's made of. Tumble-drying is forbidden, but dry-cleaning is permitted.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The Jacquard weaving technique used to make this scarf involves interweaving silk warp threads with Merino wool and cotton weft threads in a specific pattern. To achieve this, the “La Fabrique d'écharpe” weaving workshop uses Jacquard looms. The “Jacquard” loom was developed by Joseph Marie Jacquard of Lyon in 1801, and was the first programmable mechanical system with perforated cards to produce patterns by crossing colored threads. Thanks to know-how handed down from generation to generation since 1880, we now have electronically controlled “Jacquard” looms that guarantee the perfect quality of our fabrics while respecting the purest Lyonnais tradition.
