You will love its large format which gives you comfort and softness, and its original design which will adds to your style. This stole is 100% made in Lyon, France.
In the tradition of medieval tapestries, this scarf’s motif is a play on carefully drawn flowers spread out over its entire surface. A simple, neutral color palette in shades of beige, silver, and gold softens the edges of this rich floral pattern perfectly.
OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS
The blending of wool with cotton and silk adds to the stole’s softness and makes it suitable for cooler winter temperatures, as well as being great for autumn or spring. Moreover, its large size allows it to be worn either as a scarf over a classic chic coat or as a stole over a jacket or coat. Its classic design is nevertheless very contemporary, adding a relaxed chic look to your outfit.
The timeless style of this stole makes it easy to use on a daily basis.
To wash your wool, cotton, and silk blend scarf, we recommend washing it by hand with a detergent made for delicate fabrics. Do not let it soak for too long and do not wring it out. Instead, put it in a cotton towel to soak up excess water and then let it dry flat on a hanger. Iron on low heat with vapor to restore the natural fibers’ volume. While it cannot be put in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.
The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the “Jacquard” weave, involves the interlacing of silk warp threads and Merino wool weft threads following a specific pattern. To do this, the weaving workshop “La Fabrique d’Écharpe" has its own Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom is a weaving loom developed by the Lyon native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, the first programmable mechanical system with punched cards to produce patterns by crossing colored threads. Thanks to the savoir-faire passed down from generation to generation in our family since 1880, we now have digitally controlled electronic Jacquard looms that guarantee you perfect quality for our fabrics while respecting the authentic Lyon tradition.
