A large men’s scarf based on cashmere for luxurious quality. Men appreciate this particular blend of cashmere, cotton, and silk which makes for an incomparable level of softness while remaining durable and strong. The finishing work is done very carefully, with mini black fringes at the base and a fine hem along the lengths. This large men’s scarf was entirely designed, woven, and finished at our workshop in Lyon, France.
INSPIRATION

Little golfers, represented here by their silhouettes, are lightly scattered over the scarf in a symmetrical pattern, creating a classic, ultra-fashionable look. This particular blend of cashmere, cotton, and silk combined with a khaki green and black color scheme enhances the look.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

You could wear this scarf for going out, together with a jacket, a coat, or even a suit. It can be paired with a variety of different colors, including chestnut brown, beige, black, or marine blue.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To swash a cashmere-based scarf, we advise washing by hand. Soak the scarf in tepid or cold water (be very careful as cashmere cannot endure large differences in temperature). Use a detergent specifically made for wool. To dry, put the scarf in a cotton towel to soak up the excess water, but do not wring it out or twist it. Lay the scarf flat to dry. You can restore the scarf’s volume and softness by ironing on low heat with a generous use of the vapor function. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, we do recommend dry cleaning.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the Jacquard method, involves the interweaving of a silk warp thread with a cashmere and cotton weft thread, using a specific pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
