Being something in between a scarf and a stole, this large scarf is easily paired with most of your summer outfits. If you are going for a chic or casual look, you can pair it with light colored outfits (white, sky blue, or beige), for a more casual look you can wear it with jeans, and for a more formal look, wear it with a navy blue outfit.

To wash a stole made of natural material, we recommend washing it by hand with a detergent suitable for low temperatures. Do not let your large scarf soak for too long. Rinse until the water runs clear. Press in a cotton towel to remove excess water before draping your stole on a hanger to dry. Iron on high heat with vapor to maintain the volume of the natural fibers. While you cannot put it in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.

The method of producing the fabric used in this scarf involves the intertwining of silk warp threads and silk weft threads following a specific pattern. To do this, La Fabrique d’écharpe’s weaving workshop has its own Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom is a weaving loom developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, being the first programmable mechanical system with punched cards to produce patterns by intertwining colored threads.
