An exceptionally soft women’s scarf, almost like cashmere, made with luxurious blend of wool and silk. Light-weight and delicate, it is perfect for wearing in early winter. Its asymmetrical design consisting of multiple stripes adds depth to the scarf, while the very gentle color scheme of orange tones creates a light ambiance. Mini fringes finish off the ends of the scarf and a very finely sewn hem finishes off the lengths.
INSPIRATION

This design is plant-based with irregular and asymmetrical stripes. Composed of a stylized representation of plants followed by a monochrome section, the entire ensemble creates an effect that is sophisticated and yet balanced. The threads of color intertwine at each thread of each stripe in order to give the appearance of movement and change.

OUTFIT PAIRING IDEAS

This scarf is very easy to wear, and we would advise pairing it with a black or marine blue blouse, a gray or anthracite jacket, or a blue coat. Perfect as a gift!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To swash a wool-based scarf, we advise washing by hand. Soak the scarf in tepid water (be careful as wool does not tolerate extreme temperatures). Use a gentle detergent or a detergent specifically made for wool. Do not let it soak for too long. To dry, put the scarf in a cotton towel to soak up the excess water, but do not wring it out or twist it. Then lay the scarf flat to dry. You can restore the scarf’s softness and delicate touch by ironing on high heat with the vapor function. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the Jacquard method, involves the interweaving of a silk warp thread with a Merino wool weft thread, using a specific pattern. In order to do this, the Fabrique d’Écharpe weaving atelier uses Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom was developed by Lyon-native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, who created the first mechanical system that could be programmed with perforated cards to create a design by interweaving different colored threads. Thanks to the artisan weaving knowledge transmitted to us from generation to generation since 1880, today we have electronically controlled looms that allow for the scarf to be produced with impeccable quality all while respecting the purest methods of traditional Lyon Jacquard weaving.
