To wash your wool and silk scarf, we recommend washing it by hand with a detergent made for delicate fabrics. Don't let the scarf soak too long. Do not twist it to dry but rather put it in a cotton towel to absorb excess moisture and then let it dry flat on a hanger. Iron on high heat with vapor to restore the volume of the natural fibers. While you cannot put it in the dryer, you may take it in for dry cleaning.

The weaving method used to make this scarf, known as the “Jacquard” weave, involves the interlacing of silk warp threads and Merino wool weft threads following a specific pattern. To do this, the weaving workshop “La Fabrique d’Écharpe" has its own Jacquard looms. The Jacquard loom is a weaving loom developed by the Lyon native Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801, the first programmable mechanical system with punched cards to produce patterns by crossing colored threads. Thanks to the savoir-faire passed down from generation to generation in our family since 1880, we now have digitally controlled electronic Jacquard looms that guarantee you perfect quality for our fabrics while respecting the authentic Lyon tradition.
