To swash a shaded silk stole, we advise washing by hand, and ironing while the stole is still most on high heat with no vapor. This will protect the silk’s natural properties. While putting it in the dryer is absolutely out of the question, you can take it in for dry cleaning instead.

The silk dying technique we used to make this stole is an innovative one, developed and invented to create more original colors on the silk. This artisanal, hand-realized technique involves separately soaking the colors in a dye wash. The longer the material stays in the vat, the stronger and more intense the colors will be. The result is a smooth shading of colors which make up this particular piece. The fabric is then fix-washed so the colors hold, makes the fabric more resistant, and to create an optimal feeling to the touch. Made in France.
