This scarf is made using the Jacquard weaving technique, which involves interlacing wool and silk warp threads with multiple weft threads of wool, cashmere, cotton, and silk, following a specific design. To achieve this, "La Fabrique d'écharpe" uses Jacquard looms. Joseph Marie Jacquard, a native of Lyon, developed the Jacquard loom in 1801. It was the first programmable mechanical system to use punch cards to reproduce patterns by crossing colored threads.
