CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend hand washing scarves made from natural materials with a detergent suitable for low temperatures. Do not let it soak for too long. Gently wring it out by rolling it in a cotton towel, then hang it on a hanger or lay it flat on a cloth to avoid deforming the fabric. To maintain the natural volume of the fibers, iron with a hot iron and steam. Tumble drying is not allowed, but dry cleaning is permitted.

TRADITIONALLY MADE

This scarf is made using the Jacquard weaving technique, which involves interlacing wool and silk warp threads with multiple weft threads of wool, cashmere, cotton, and silk, following a specific design. To achieve this, "La Fabrique d'écharpe" uses Jacquard looms. Joseph Marie Jacquard, a native of Lyon, developed the Jacquard loom in 1801. It was the first programmable mechanical system to use punch cards to reproduce patterns by crossing colored threads. Thanks to expertise passed down since 1880, we now use electronic Jacquard looms with digital controls that ensure our fabrics are of the highest quality while respecting the most authentic Lyon traditions.
